CONGRATULATIONS!!

It is with great pleasure that we present one of PoodleMaineia’s finest Standard Poodle puppies to you as the newest member of your family. We trust that by making this commitment you will be prepared for the Standard Poodle puppy as any well cared member of your family and allow for the minor adjustments that one must make in any familiar bonding. Remember there are no BAD DOGS- there are only GREAT OWNERS.

The Philosophy of this kennel is as follows:

• We breed healthy females once annually- no more often.
• No standard poodle females are bred after 7 years of age.
• We provide total delivery support to the dame to assure healthier pups.
• We check for genetic disorders and obtain OFA certification via the American Kennel Club for hips and eyes. We check for genetic disorders if indicative.
• All pups are vet checked prior to leaving the kennel and given a clean health certificate.
• We start 3 week old pups on Puppy chow and Enfamil to supplement feedings.
• All pups are given their first grooming prior to going to their new home to get them used to clippers; good grooming is an important part of a standard poodle’s life style.
• All of Poodlemaineia’s standard poodles attend a rigorous one month program on site in Canada for obedience training. IF the animal is found to be unusually aggressive or shy, he or she is not used in our breeding program.
• All dogs are capable of being schooled in land and water retrieval.
• PoodleMaineia encourages the use of Crates and Crate training for the safety and discipline of the puppy.
• We guarantee the health of this puppy and will have you return up to TWO FULL YEARS AFTER BIRTH.
• PoodleMaineia will also take a puppy back up to 6 months after birth, IF you are unable to provide care; would like first refusal if circumstances require you to relocate your animal!
• All PoodleMaineia dogs are family member, not kennel dogs and are treated accordingly.
